gutted!

Recommended Posts

my pregnant cocker spaniel [hope so any way]developed a bit of a limp a week or so ago and i thought nowt of it and just gave her a few short walks a day hoping it would heal up .well i thought this is nt getting any better so off to the vets i went ,her knee cap is jumping out of its socket and needs an operation pins put in etc £1000,they cant do nowt while she is pregnant so i just have to wait ,to say im gutted is an understatment as this little dog is a fantastic worker and im told she wont be the same ever again ,it looks like early retirement for her,i cant sleep thinking why her? the vet said its very unusual for a small dog to have this problem.she checked the rest of the dog and shes fine

sh**ty luck mate, gutted for you. You've got to hope for the best regardless, she may heal up really well and still be able to do some work, even if it's not as much as before.

thanks for being gutted with me it helps to know people understand what a good dog means to a person,i will get her operated on and will see how it goes but either way she wont be going to another home she stays with my family for life

Sorry to hear about your little bitch - have to admit its not something that i think cockers are prone to, specially not workers, just her rotten luck.

Nice to hear that she'll stay with you whatever happens,(you softy!) you never know she might still be able to go out or if not she can give loads of tips to the pups!

Keep us updated of her progress, i'll keep my fingers crossed for her.

Ali xx
