bought these last week

Recommended Posts

We got these pigmy goats last week to eat back the vegetation around the house...(4 months old) It was pretty funny at times and at one point they jumped the fence! They stud on a tree stump and jumped on, and then over the fence, it has a 6ft drop on the other side!! Trying to catch them was a task as they were in the garden with all the plants we didnt want eating..... :whistling: Anyway they have now settled in and no longer trying to escape. They run to see you when ever they hear you coming. Once they eat back the area we want, we will get some chickens...

They destroyed it! But it was a small one that wasn't used for fruit yield, so it wasn't a problem. I hand reared loads of the kids when they needed it, used to ride my horse and the kids would all ru

Yeah it was really funny.... we picked them up in a van, which they didnt like!! When i got them home and on to the land, 2 of my lurchers were out. One went to play but the other was hanging of the back of the brown one! Once we had freed it and got them to their encloser, i gave him a bolloxing, and he understood. A few days later we let the dogs into the goat field, after a run around with them and a bit of barking, they all settled down... The dog which had had a grip was sniffing around and turned his back on "FRANK" who put his head down and ran and butted him up the arse! The dog shit it, yelped like hell and legged it. The missus and i were crying laughing, it really was funny to see.... Anyway, now they all get on things are well. The white one is called "levi"...

Hannah they are smart animals, bring alot of laughs too.

Stainleigh, put them into google, they range from anything from 100 quid upto 400.... I just happened to pass these while out walking, and landed lucky, they are 4 mths old..

They certainly are, my dad built i humungous climbing frame for our ones, and they loved it! They also tame up brilliantly and the nannies especially are very affectionate, i spent many an hour chilling in the orchard with the goats!

Yeah, we have a log pile for them to climb on... bet they did some damage in the orchard, lol.

I hand reared loads of the kids when they needed it, used to ride my horse and the kids would all run along behind :D . . . . . . my parents were SOOO tolerant of my animal obsession. The kitchen was always harbouring some kind of animal, injured, orphaned or abandoned, ranging from piglets to owl chicks, i was a magnet for anything in need!
