looks like a clean cut make sure to get antibiotics from the vet and keep him hydrated with a bit of luck he be fine seen alot worse let us know how it turns out

finsih he course of anibotics and painkillers ,stiches out tuesday and then rebilitaion starts then slowly :thumbs:

well just geting back from the vets and they admited him ,they will not know nothing untill they but him a sleep so he hopeing he ok ,i have 2 ring them at 4pm ,it still has,nt sunk in ,some post have

Still young enough to heal quick mate. You said he can walk on it which is a good sign. I think he'll be fine mate. The joys of lurchers eh.... We have all been there mate and we know how your feeling

Good luck getting your big dog back in shape,he's gonna take some time to fully heal to 100% isn't he well you'll just have to take your time.

thanks j.dog ,he bouceing now mate ,this dog does not know rest in he 4 years of he life he been out 3/4 times a day working 4 nights aweek on the pushbike day in day on ,it going be hard ,i,m going 2 take the advise from the vet on tuesday when he back for the stiches 2 come out :thumbs:

well just getting back from the vets ,they took the drains out ,stiches out n tuesday and i can start the rebiliation the vet said ready for light walks ,spoke 2 the vet who done operation and he said the muscle was,nt toar that much and should have heal in a few weeks ,it looks like duke will be ready for the season what a relief :toast:

it is ray ,when i thought it could have been the end of he working life ,and less then a week later i know he run again this season its such a relief :thumbs:

haha ,i know what you mean but when the foot on the other shoe its different lol

ive had them shoes plenty times buddy,and now theres no panic .they can either be fixed or not :tongue2: the main thing is hes ok ,it will just be a faint memory soon enough :thumbs:

My big lad got a big gash in exact same place.. Took him vets nd got it stiched up, but because of where the cut was it kept re-opening. Took him back to the vets again nd its been right ever since mate.. Wouldnt worry too much about it really, u just wnt be able run him for quite a while

it seems 2 be healing well stiches out tuesday and see how it goes :thumbs:

well the vet gave duke the all clear today which i,m over the moon with ,had 2 go back today 2 gat the rest of the stiches out and said i can start letting him of the lead ,so now i,m just take it easy for 2 weeks road walking him getting him ready for the season ,its mad how this injury happened less then 4 weeks ago and when it happened i thought the worst ,thanks for all the comments,thanks gaz ,
