[ my dogs have good recall ] so when im moving on i just blow the whistle and me dogs are behind me. i rembember when i was a child the old lads were talking bout the silent dog whistle.that people cant hear hear the silent dog whistle,only dogs can hear it.im thinkin bout gettin one this season.just ta see wat they are like It's not really silent but it is much quieter, I trained my bitch recall with it and it worked great. lurcher330 2,301 Posted July 7, 2011 Report Share Posted July 7, 2011 i would'nt dream of using one sure i have often had to cover me dogs eyes some nights while hiding in the mountain heather and when my dogs catch something they cant retreive i follow the sound and if they finish the job before i get there i give a whistle the dogs comes back and then i let the dog bring me back to the catch bleed it out gut it then hide and come back later with no dogs in tow Quote Link to post
