Alright,...Just looking for a bit of info on what cctv camera is best for me,...I would like one out my back yard looking on the kennels as my bedroom is at the front,....Im a very light sleeper and any time the dogs make a sound ect Im up looking out the back window, would like a camera and have a channel on my bedroom tv just for checking,...Anyone on here have something like this??

they stealth cams are quite handy they only film when something trips them like a security light

Your local crime prevention officer is the best route..Keep you legal,positioning,signage, etc..You may also get grant if you've had Trouble with intruders....worth following up.

 

 

Yeah mate cheers for all thst,...Alot of people in the street have cams front and back as theres alot of stupid kunts about this way!

dont cost much that to rig up lukey,

have ye got a window ye can keep a camera in that will point at kennels, that way ye wont beed a weather proof camera,

 

im pretty sure i got amixer box that allows ye to have a few camera's an ye can click an change what pic ye want on tele, if its any good for ye, but for a single camera its a doodle to sort oot mate :thumbs:

stealth cals aint great for that mate, better wae a normal cctv, stealh cams only come into there own in the field :thumbs:

guys i set up ,me 1st cctv wae a set of camera's an mixer box i got off a demolition site, cost me the price of new cables

have since then updated a bit wae some snazzy wireless camera's an such like, but the basic principle is the same, an can cost very little for peace a mind, well worth it imo :thumbs:

If it's for short term use the cheapest way (if you have one) is to use a camcorder positioned in the window on long record setting will get you hours of recording and it won't cost you a bean.

 

If you want something more permanent I agree Maplins do a 4 camera kit with a DVR which you can view via an iPhone etc. Remember as with all these viewing remote CCTV systems they never tell you that you need a fixed ip address which you will need to pay for but that's only if you want to view images from your phone.

 

A cheaper alternative is to get a camera that plugs directly into your tv and you program a Channel for the camera and view it through your tv, B&Q and the like will sell these or again maplins
