kegs 40
well it pains me to say that this show was rubbish,i thought last year was small but good, there were decent enough stalls and from a dog point it was well enough run and fair enough judged.all that was needed this year was a slight emprovement in the fair and there you go a successful event but lads you well and truely dropped the ball, does either of your terrier judges even keep terriers.as far as i can remember it was the worst ive seen for a main fair in our island.sorry but you cant rest on your arse when the small shows around at the minute are kickin it
Blue one 89
It was surely a poor fair this year. Shame, as the first 2, were good, wont be going again.
CarraghsGem 92
It was surely a poor fair this year. Shame, as the first 2, were good, wont be going again. i only went cause i was free in picked up a very docile large polecat hob as a pet and to bring to the local heritage day for the kids to see and handle under supervision (its nearly tradition for me to bring ferrets to it) saw a jill that was just what i was looking for but she wasnt for sale (on the ferret stand next to athboy gun club) the constant rain didnt help either but nowt can be done about that Edited July 18, 2011 by CarraghsGem
fat man 4,741
its not that £15 euro would break the bank but its the principle, its a rip off, drove to this show myself last year enjoyed the day but the extra fiver is a rip off and on that principle I wont be going chatted to a right few of my mates and they said the same. What extra fiver? This show was €15 last year and this year we have a lot more new attractions in addition to what was there last year. Therefore we are bringing even more value for money. For families we have children going FREE. There are also a number of children and animal charities being supported? Either we care enough about country sports to put a little bit of revenue their way or we don't. I know which boat we are on! We all know which boat ye are on,the one that is slowly..slowly leaving,bye.bye.

In order to run a show that has credibility among the hunting (DOG) fraternity you must be prepared to allocate funds to this section of the show in order to ensure that the show the judging and the results are fair, and it was quiet evident that the organisers in their wisdom came to the conclusion that the Lurcher/Terrier section of the show was less of an attraction than other events, and of less importance. When you send out these types of signals to the hunting fraternity you and your show has lost its credibility.

Agree 100%, tucked away in a corner, I think that the show should just drop the lurcher/terrier section, are we frowned upon as dog men by some?
