Yes some people in rescue like to make a big hooha out of saving an animal. Yes, some people like a sob story. Some rescues are crap, some are good. And most certainly yes, a lot of the dogs that go through them have had traumatic times at the hands of knob heads. The fees, tho, don't usually cover the neuter/spay, vax, food ... not to mention medical treatment when it's needed. They treat it like a business but shouldn't they? After all they have overheads just like anybody else. Their business is helping dogs that need it, no? And if they didn't approach it as a business they wouldn't be able to help anybody when they ran out of money. Sure the Dog's Trust is run like a business. The aRSePCA tho are in a class of their own - let's not go there.

Sometimes I don't agree with things that some rescues do. I don't always agree with their attitudes about hunting, who is or isn't suitable to own a dog, etc etc. But so what - I don't agree with a lot of people about a lot things, doesn't mean they're better or worse than I am, just not on the same wavelength.

I really do fail to see how the theft of an animal from a shelter can be argued as positive?

And anyways this is going way off the mark - the dog posted by the OP was STOLEN. Can we stay focussed on that? For all we know this dog was stolen by someone who fancies skinning it alive to see if it cries. It happens, you know. Maybe it was stolen by some f*cker who fancies running it to near death and then leaving it tied to a tree with a bag of lettuce for company.

I really hope the dog is found, safe and well.

I also hope the dog is found safe and well. I'd contact dog wardens from all areas. We once got a stolen dog back from 200 miles away, as the dog warden there knew about the dog.

As has been said anywhere is better than a dogs and cats home even if it was put down straight after it was stolen.

hopefully they spend a lot of money trying to get the dog back but dont.

i think if the dog stolen was taken from kennels to be worked then if they went to all the trouble of stealing it they either no the dog and must have not had money to get it back out as some of these places are expensive to claim back your dogs from or thet just stole it to make quick pounds either way they stole it and i am of the view that if it was their dog and it was picked up by warden and couldnt pay to get it back then they shouldnt have the dog but if it was lost on nights poaching and they dont want to admit to it so took the dog then goodluck what was the secumstances the dog was took to kennels in first place would be helpfull to know

So lets get this straight, dog theft is ok, as long as it's from an animal shelter???

If its your own dog then yes..........

Aye, which is a fairly massive assumption that came out of cuckoo land.

Taking your own dogs is fine.

But saying it's ok to take a dog as long as you work it. . . . .wherever you take it from,

Or that it being put down is better than being in a shelter that will rehome it. . . . . .

Is a bit shit.
