Recommended Posts

one morning i decided to take a walk with whippet pup and i came over a farm with rakes of rabbits in a field so i went and asked the farmer but he was away so his wife said come bk on the Monday. so i went bk after school on the Monday he was back so i asked him if it was possible to have some ferreting permission he says for the rabbits? i said yeah he says ok so he showed me the warrens are and said when u come and leave say ur leaving. then he asked me how am i going to kill them i said i can ferret them or lamp them but the field has sheep in the moment so cant lamp them. he says ferret them but i told him u usually ferret rabbits in the winter time so all the baby rabbits are fully growing he says he wants them gone now but i dont no what to do

just ferret them! but make sure you've got a locator and a spade. Depend on your ferrets tho, even if mine kill below ground, they very rarely lay up, I've only had to dig for them once. Feed them

Kid get stuck in to them dont go half hearted be serious about the job and it could lead to more permission if he sees you doing the job right.

As people have said use a locator and take your spade. its not great taking young rabbits this time of the year but look at it as a job that needs done and get it done.

Good luck with it
