eddie jones 2
hi everyone, i have had some trouble with my russell terrier scratching and biting his self raw, i have been back and for to a number of vets who all say the same thing that they are not sure what the problem is and just take my money with no solution, im not sure weather it is the mange or not but everything im trying is turning out to be a dead end, i have just been talking to a few lads who also own dogs like mine and have had the same problem and suggested using jeyes fluid in a bucket of water to dip the dog, i myself have never heard of this and not sure if this works or is even right, can anybody give me any advice on this matter please or if you know of a solution i would be very greatfull cheers everyone

Moll. 1,770
Vets would know if it were mange, presume they did a skin scrape? There could be any number of reasons...what is the skin like underneath? Do not dip the dog in jeyes though you could make the problem worse. Have you tried giving the dog an antihistamine tablet, you can get them in chemist/supermarkets.

lilpip1234 62
benzyl benzate is quiet good most chemist do it mate or i used sulphurated lime rinse which i bought online for my sisters dog worked wonders cost around 16quid a bottle
paulus 26
treatment depends upon cause if its mange the benzol benzoate works but its hard to get at the minute, if its an alergy then plain old antihistermines will do the trick, if its something like wet dermititis then its hiba scrub and anti fungal cream its hard to say without seeing it why not put a pic up
