Hard dogs are very impressive . I love to dig to a hard dog but at the same time I do realise that the steady mixing type terrier is the best tool for the job. A dog that has respect for its quarry bu

Any single handed dog I like.

do people double up here. :icon_eek:

Ive seen plenty double up (never any of my own). Ive also seen plenty of dogs that cant do it.

Maybe what I meant was, I got room for hard dogs, mixers and bayers.

Preference for the mixers who with experience can up the stakes to get the job done.. :notworthy:

Bitch on the left.

I like a hard dog,but with brains aswell.Must be able to find in any situation and stay untill dug to,even when he is not geting it all his own way,i also like to sink only the one drop so they have to be there when i break through, after that i dont care what type, colour or size they are.

any dog that will stay till dug and see job out .i prefare a dog with brains that can use its voice and get stuck in when needs be as you say a hammer head can sometimes turn a simple job in too a hard job but on the other hand can sometimes make a hard job look simple but my honest opinion is that the proper hard dogs that are made of the right stuff will bark if you give them plenty of work as there s only so much they can take and the more they take the more they start too listen too what there brain is telling them also found the hard dogs lack a bit in finding ability as they just want too charge about till the meet something instead of settling themselves and using there nose too locate there quarry well thats my opinion anyway ps for the work we do we are always aiming for a good solid dog that works close uses there voice and stands its ground when pressure is on .
