selling dogs..........

Recommended Posts

One thing i always think about. . . .

There are a lot of folk out there who want a pup from their dog, just because it's their dog, and it makes them happy, so they breed a full litter for just that one pup, when to be brutaly honest the dog ain't worth breeding off in any but their eyes. Now if you could have a litter of just one pup, i'd say crack on, but you cannot and the rest of them pups are out there and part of a gene pool, thats rapidly worsening. A bit part of that i think, is not peddlers breeding shit on purpose to make cash, it's well meaning folk breeding average dogs, just cos they really love their own one, and in their eyes it's top, when it is not.

no offence james but the next time i see you your a fcukin dead man ,why would a lad lie and say a dog is dead .Did you get a kick out of that cause i certainly didnt ye prick

My personal thoughts are that I don't agree with the selling on of adult/nearly adult dogs. The way I look at it is when you part with your hard earned for a pup, you are paying for a blank canvas of

i aint bothered what people breed there litters for its none of my business and dont effect me.   i buy in what i need when i need it. but having said that my last pup was gifted to me.

And it boils my piss when some one offers you a pup for FREE and then goes back on there word, and asks for money. i personaly fell embarresed for them, and thats when you know your in it for the money

Absolutely right

I find it hilarious listening to folk come out with the old excuse " i wanted to keep a pup back and just sold the excess " ......so you kept 1 pup and sold the other 7 for 300 pound each......but didnt breed for money !

Very few dogs are actually worth breeding,if people set their sights higher and looked on dogs as a hobby that you dont have to get money back on,the quality of working dogs would be far higher in general.

But is she worth breeding in anyones eyes other than your own ?

Will she produce better than what she is ?

Will you cull the excess ?

If not whats the point in breeding......not aimed at you by the way mate just making the example

you can never guaeantee the offspring of any mating ,, ..but good bloodstock will allways give you a better chance of success, taking into concideration .the upbringing , of a pup!,which is just as inportant as good bloodlines.imo ;)

Pointless breeding then in my opinion.

Either you have the best dog in the world,or you lack ambition......in these times theres no reason to breed dogs if your not improving them, just my opinion like.

Of course not.....but if you dont stack the odds in your favour of producing better and better through the generations......you more than likely wont !
