I used to breed a few black nuttalls in the 80's and 90's,they were all a bit hard,the smooth little dog "ROCKY" in the pic with the russell bitch was a very accomplished dog and had a very good name in this area,the other on its own was only ever a fox dog but he was steady,they were both dogs I bred a lot of pups off,I'll have a look see if I've got any others,atb,WM

what did the pups turn out like between those 2 ,any pics?

These were the pups from that mating,that bitch was already carrying 1/4 fell ,from my previous generation,so these pups were 3/4 fell,the bitch(DAM) was 100% on all quarry and even after all these year's of terrier's is still one of my favourites,never let me down in good company,steady till dug but would force the bolt if at all possible,the pups never had her intelligence and were nothing special,they all took after the stud (ROCKY) and were to hard to be of use to me,1 pup self entered out on a walk with my kids and had to be dug out with his large teeth only half down,he enjoyed the pain and was sold on the spot to a lad that came out with me to get him back,he was 3ft down in a 2 hole earth round a pond were the kids had been playing,I sold him the dog and a 16ft locator for 35pounds as he was going to need it,it was his first terrier and I had been taking him out for a few years by that point and he needed to start hunting on his own so we all won,I never bred any more down that line after that but stuck to breeding other stuff,atb,WM

I really like the look of that lurcher!! Looks like he could fill a freezer or two.

JD,that lurcher was a very capable animal and could jump anything,his name was "KALE",stood 28"tts and caught the full spectrum of game,he was still catching regular to the age of 12yrs,he earned his retirement and lived till he was 16yrs,he was saluki/greyhound but with a great temperament,very biddable and once he had hold it was all over,he was bred in liverpool,I only wish I'd took some pups off him but back in the day good dogs were 2 a penny,I had a bitch about the same time that was a better hare dog but for larger game he took some beating,I'd have another like him in the morning if there was anything being bred in that class nowadays,I've got a lot better pics of him somewhere and if I find them I'll put some up,atb,WM
