steezy 1
? Why getting outcrossed ? Quote Link to post
chris 1
what do you mean when you say outcrossed ? how do you know the breeding behind the dogs anyway to say they are outcrossed ? the little red female is Chaz x Damage, the male is R.S. Tom (Chaz x Tilly) x Melonhead (R.C. Barry x Leen). the male , as you can see is "outcrossed", and there is no need to "add a name" to them in a certain way. one surely does not have to hide the breeding behind the dogs. and be sure they are ,and work, decent enough. and one thing more, i see no reason why someone should not be happy when one is posting honest posts...by the way i am not posting to make people happy or unhappy! posts and the use of the names of the breeders that stand behind one dogs, show the respect one has for those people, and i respect everyone that stand behind the breeding of the dogs. i just wanted to post two pics that in my oppinion look nice, thats all. and that is often the problem in messegeboards that one is drawn into conversations with no meaning and end. regards chris p.s.: hi steezy hoffe bei dir alles klar ! irgendwie spinnt mein pm account. gruss Quote Link to post
rudi schwab 1
i know both dogs quite well & they are in any way 100% reprensentatives of a true working patterdaleterrier! So why not mentioning pickaxe to pay respect?Wouldnt it be unfair not to do it?Btw there was no need to "cross" some border in. Guest Eamon.Mc
At the end of the day if the guy paid the money for the dogs then can he not do with them what he wants? Fair enough if if someone did buy line bred dogs and outcrossed them which I see no evidence of in this thread some terriermen may frown upon it but they're his dogs to do with what he wishes. Worker to worker breeding as long as that guideline is followed then what does it matter about lines???? JMO Quote Link to post

I think Pickaxe would be proud of them and to see what he bred ! Greeting´s Steezy Quote Link to post
steezy 1
How much earth work has 'Grom' / 'Tom' done ? , how old is he now and how many generations are there out of him (breeding / stud) by now ? .Will wait with anticipation for TRUTHFULL answers , a photo or two of him at his work would be nice also . Hmmmm ... I can´t see "Tom" or "Grom" at the pic´s !!! ... Only a well worked Bitch bred by Pickaxe , as much as i know she work on Fox and on Badger , and a also good working son ( wich work on Fox , Badger , wild boars ... ) of a dog bred by Pickaxe !!! ...but were is Tom on the pic´s ? ...can´t see him ! why a question about a dog no one can see in the pic´s ? chris 1
even if Tom would have only been to ground for a couple of times, would it make him a less worthy dog ? often people are asking for fotos on this or that dog in action...does it make the dog a less worthy animal if no camera was at the hand when the dog was working ? i never saw pics of the famous dogs at the time of work..only afterwards...and i never saw some of the people here doubt the working quality of some of the mentioned dogs here on the forum... why is that i would like to know? what kind of proove does someone have for the quality of his dog, when he shows a pic of him with injuries after a dig...none ! a proove would be, if it would be possible to show the fact that the dog does not leave the earth and refusing to finish his work after getting mixed up by the quarry! can such a proove be made by a post or a pic ? the answer is NO. In my oppinion the best objective proove for the quality of a working terrier and the line that stands behind him is, beside of seing one work with my own eyes and see his reactions when i dig to him, the fact that he produces first class workers...and Tom prooved that more than once!!! also the fact that other european terriermen such as mr R.Cl. say that Tom is a very good producer and use his blood tells a lot!! one simple comparison. does the fact that i have never seen pics of famous dogs by pickaxe, or nuttal or other in hold with fox or being dug to , give me the right to doubt the quality of these dogs? the right maybe i have but i would be crazy to do so ! and that´s because the fact that these dogs passed on their genes and produced, and are producing first class, game workers would make my doubts look ridiculous! that´s my oppinion best regards chris 1 Quote Link to post
rudi schwab 1
Chief, i also cant see Tom on the pic so???but how can i proof you something about a certain dog what you don t want to know?Anyway, one thing is for sure i dont breed an untested one!So like all my others he was tried and tested to the max. working above&below on everything with a fur on and proofed to be worth breeding from. But Chief you are always more than welcome to come over to watch it with your own eyes in a private hearing of evidence to take some pics as well.Btw Tom produces as well if not even better and thats in the end what count for us no matter how hard you try to degrade this dog so afterwards you can watch some of his offspring as well!
