this is a planned breeding of my brother and mine. if you like all well and good, if you dont, all well and good. The bully has more drive than we could have ever expected. both dogs are 22" and are v

Frank Sheardowns the lurcher training and hunting talks of one single handedly killing a hyena, he witnessed this himself. Big claim i know.

seen one working,(EB Dam, dhgh sire) it was quite a heavy dog but would catch a rabbit through shear determination and enjoyed stuff with teeth.

Seen that bully a few times at various athletic days and shows! If its the same one I'm thinking of the dog is spot on and looks to me more than ready to roll at whatever he was asked.

This is my English Bull Cross. Proven in everyway, gives 100% everytime. The picture is of when he was a bit younger, he's approx 2 & half years now. He loves it.

Is that dog a straight English bull greyhound?

Like what I see of him.I have a soft spot for English bulls and in the crosses the ebt head is very dominant.Had a ebt/lakeland bitch once that was black/tan and broken coated with an ebt head.Class looking I thought, died young of a heart attack though, the defect I believe coming through from the ebt side.

I had an ebt x whippet bitch about 6 years ago,got her at 8 months of age, good points were massive prey drive, stamina, very strong ,bad points were dog aggressive, people aggressive would attack any animal horses, pigs ,ferrets , eat anything she ever caught , a total embarrassment out in public, I put alot of effort into the dog training her ect, the vet said she suffered with canine schitzophrenia , last straw was when she bit a friend ,then the plumber and then the postlady, all in all a total piece of shit , money well spent having her put to sleep.

Why would you use a breed that isn't guaranteed to give consistent results?

Wouldn't even a second rate thingy dog give better results than the best of the EBT's out there?

Would it be for looks? To have something different to every other bull x type?

Can't see why anyone would go to the trouble of breeding and raising a litter based on a breed of dog that come a very poor 2nd to the other type of bull, seems a waste of time?

I'd totally agree with you points mate, your dead right IMO.

Though, if anyone has (and I can see those who have..) got a decent grafter of an EBT then why not use it, like I said, mine worked like a fiend, the right type is more than capable..!

And to those who's lurchers are out of this type, great, I hope your dogs work well for you, like I said I knew of a cracker, a 'genuine' dog, one i'd have loved to own.

surely if they were on par wae a proper bullx, then there would be loads about, after all it is easier to get yer hands on a ebt than a proper bull, is it not???

In the main Dotty, they ain't, but there are always the odd exception and if used, can deal with anything this country has to offer. Would I take that gamble though..

i had a ebt as lad, i was maybe 14/15 yrs old, nice looking thing with the bullseye like the above, but what a twat, great with blokes but women was a no go, i had it less than week before it got pts as it went for any female,,,including my mother, well my ole fella got it pts thumbs.gif

also this dog was about 18 mth old when i got it, so i'm not slagging the breed, but no doubt the upbringing

fine animal by the way thumbs.gif
