Bosun11 537
The one cross I always wanted Simo Back in the late 's I owned a 'genuine' working EBT, tall & rangy, this dog really could graft and though I tried putting him to both Greyhounds and Lurchers, it never happend. The big dumb b*****d was just that, when he came to stud, a big dumb b*****d! There was a dog of this breeding in the early 90's called Mickey, from Leigh, who had a hell of a reputation, i've been out with some of his offspring and all were very good, took one out on trial once, but it made a right mess of a good and very timid bitch I had in the back of the motor and it went straight back, thankfully, none of the others were like that though. I'm sure Busher could tell you more about Mickey. I suppose when I was after one out of my dog, I knew what I would/should be getting, but your right about the downsides to this cross, really, its painfully obvious! And when I thought about it honestly, there are far better dogs to use than EBT's! Been on this site a few years now and both looked and replied to all the threds on 'em and yet still waiting to see a genuine first cross EBT/Greyhound, seen many with a percentage and read lots about folks who have 'em but the genuine article is like rocking horse shite... And maybe thats a good thing.. I still live in hope...! Quote Link to post

scalesntails 118
I always liked them but most of them don't seem to have much muscle definition and really short turned in legs. I was talking to a guy up the road from me the other day and he said he had an EBT. I went in to see it and it was amazing. Nice and leggy with more muscle definition than I have ever seen on a dog. Was a lovely dog but still don't know if I would be confident putting it over a greyhound and spending a year on food and training just to see what one of the pups turned out like. Quote Link to post
welshnutter69 78
my buddy has just had a litter of ebt x whippet pups, first cross thay are...from what ive seen thay are going to be a handful...im not sure if thay will have the pace, thay dont look to heavy at the mo, good strong heads on them...but im sure thay would be better suited for a terrierman... cant comment on the parents as thay are only used for showing and havent had the chance to work, but i am taking the whippet out for him this friday..hes laguna lines so should be nippy enough Quote Link to post
