Simoman 110
Just wondering if any members work or have worked lurchers with a good percentage of EBT blood? I have a bitch here with a quarter EBT in her make up, but apart from reading something in a Plummer book and the pure bred dogs in Darcys Game dog book i see very little. Now i know this is because the vast majority of EBT's have the athletisism of a disabled sloth and the working ability of a Mancunian teenager but there must be a few gems out there??? sighthound123 31
Frank Sheardowns the lurcher training and hunting talks of one single handedly killing a hyena, he witnessed this himself. Big claim i know. 1 Quote Link to post

J.DOG 1,355
It would be a good cross I have herd of people crossing them but I imagine they would turn out heavy and slower. I got an EBT they are stubborn but f**king unstoppable he hates my lurcher pup lol Quote Link to post
wexford Pa 84
A lad i hunted with over 10 years ago had a half cross ebt x gh, very good at her job and took a few foxes off the sod aswell.. Never kept her place in his due to low strike rate single handed at night but bred again im her off spring would of made the grade.. Quote Link to post

Dont think they are to keen on pits, as what ive read they say pits will fight with the quarry more so , the ebtxs will try to hold there quarry (wild boar). They use stags for foxes, more than either bullxs.! Quote Link to post
morton 5,368
Early 's i ran a 1/2 cross for a while, lacked pace and wanted to scrap all the time, ended up giving it to a terrierman, whos work better suited the dog. Quote Link to post

My old man went out in the 70,s ratting with his mates and 1 of them had been given an EBT by a pig farmer who lived up the road well basicly this dog wasnt doing alot just lumbering round while the terriers were killing ratts then out of no where this cat shot across the yard where they were ratting the bull terrier ploughed into it and bit the head clean off the old moggy no 1 could believe me old man was laughing his head off Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
There was a female member on here that bred a 1/2X litter. They must be over a year old by now? I'll do a search see if I can find the thread. Quote Link to post
