rob190364 2,594
Whats in the box Byron ? a fridge freezer kay..lol.............. so what ya riding chimp... bet its a monkey bike....lol........................ this and that these days , im afraid im a suzuki nut thru and thru , i took a mates R6 for a spin the other day and it just rekindled my hatred for them. i was blowing away turbo R1's with a standard hayabusa 10 years ago , you wanna go fast in comfort get a busa not one of them things. 'there goes anothe-R 1' OR gsxRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR You decide lol always makes me laugh when someone is obsessed with a certain make of bike or car and therefore every other bike/car is shit! These people usually just blindly buy the same make over and over again and won't even consider another make, I find it a bit bizarre to be honest. And comparing a Hayabusa to an R1??? It's not really the same type of bike is it! R1 and GSXR fine, but not a Hayabusa. A Hayabusa would piss on most things in a drag race but put it on a track against an R1 and it'd be a different story. A veyron would piss on a ferrari in a drag race, doesn't mean a ferrari is shit does it!! And you might not be a fan of the R1 but you can't deny that when the R1 came out it pushed the boundries forward a mile, it p'ssed on everything else in it's class! and it took everyone else a few years to catch up! Great achievement by this guy by the way, is he a small bloke? having done a few longish rides I can't imagine how uncomfortable an R1 would get after such a long journey! i suppose it's like dogs isnt it ? dont get me wrong ive had a few good uns ie: rd's / ccm's etc but always went back to suzuki , good strong engines that take some going to lunch em. i think what pissed me off with the R1 was it is too track committed , not a bad thing thats for sure but left a lot of widows in the process. it didnt take honda long to fire a good one back at yammy tho did it but people got R-blind and was nothing but a 'must have' , you wanna go fast on the road you dont need much more then a good 600 or 750. quote 'the hayabusa X1 was born on the race track' i guess going round the world on a R1 is something special but it could be done on any bike No, to be honest a lot of the new bikes are a bit too track orientated for my liking. And I don't see the point in bikes like the GSXR1000, ZX10R etc. You couldn't get anywhere near the potential of one of them things on any road in the UK, and if you did get up to that kind of speed and cornering you wouldn't be riding like that for very long I don't think! I prefer the old style fireblades, ZXRs and some of the GSXRs from the late 80s and 90s. Still bloody fast but not stupidly fast, and usable on the road. The most fun I ever had on a bike was on a 2001 SV650 believe it or not. You could thrash the arse off it and still be at relatively sane speeds, and below 100mph it was a brilliant little bike. I traded it in for a ZX7R and although I loved the ZX7R I always missed the little Suzuki. I'd probably get another one of them now to be honest, the newer ones look a bit cack but I liked the original ones with the rounded fairings.
