falcongit 242 Posted June 27, 2011 Report Share Posted June 27, 2011 hi all,i went over to my mates stealthy1 permision sunday at about 7pm,he took me down to the pastures,when we got there we got set up,checked all the gear as you do,and went for a wander down the field it was bloody hot,when we got there we soon got the water bottles out, talk about sweat,anyway there was at least 30 or more rabbits running around all over the place great i thought,so we got laid down along the fence me faceing one way stealthy1 faceing the other way,just wait now for all them rabbits to come out,i can see the huge bag of rabbits in my hand at the end of the night,anyway it never worked out like that,stealthy had a few his side he was just about to take a shot and something spooked them,he said to me whats scared them off, he gets up to look around and one of the land owners freinds was walking his dogs on the other side of the fence,so had to wait for him to go away,4 dogs,so we had a drink and a chat,and the carried on,not long after that stealthy had his first kill knealing shot, great hes got the first one ,waiting waiting,then crack he got his second one ,this is not good,its getting dark now and no rabbits,we decide to go,and as i get up i spot one,but a long way of,i lazed it at 42m standing shot,got it yeah ,as i walking over to get it i spot another one though the fence,so another standing shot at about 20m ,went round the other side to go and pick it up and could not find it looking every where then spoted it,so walked back to find the other one and same thing i could not find it the bunnys holes were close to where i shot it so i thought it had kicked its self down the hole went over to my mate he said where is it, i said,so we decided to wander home but round the edge of the feild and guess what stealthy1 spotted my rabbit in the grass,so 2 each in the end brill,but we thought we would have had more than that with all the bunnys that were there when we got to the field,theres allways a next time,its good to go with your mates so will be down again soon stealthy1 bud....... thats me in the pic,stealthy1 shy.....hope you enjoy the read.....
