Rake aboot 4,936
i possibly have been tacken on for 6months with a keeper i do ferreting and beating for but thats only for 6 months i have also considerd trade work or the forrestry comission make sure yer doin the job for love then,, cause yeh`ll get fuckall money for it,, FC wages are shit, as are keepers wages. And farming wages,, it`s the fringe benefits folk do it for,, Tied housing etc! Lots of people want to do what they love as a job,, BUT nearly everyone hates having to work, so doing yer hobby as a job can spoil it as a hobby ?? I meet plenty that love diving,, but working at it is for single young feckers that just want to live in the sun,, theres fuckall money in it,,and they all get jaded about diving when they are doing 5 dives a day 7 days a week,,, so their hobby is spoiled! see what I mean ??,, It can be easier working at somit else to make cash to enjoy yer sport! Baghdadnights 150
Self employed spanner monkey for 12 yrs now. Car trade is shite at the moment though gives me more time for shooting but don't pay the bills.
OldNog 432
Used to be a keeper but packed that in. Was all fun and games to start with but then you soon realise its not just running round the countryside shooting and trapping vermin. That comes at the very bottom of the very long list of things to do. Shit pay, no respect and even worse hours. I started HATING shooting and still dont enjoy it now as much as i used to. Now i work for my mtoehr in law who is a property developer. Started just as a £50 a day dogs body but now learnt alot more skills so can charge more money. Currently do the majority of my work alongside a chippy which i absoloustly love doing. Building stuff out of timber is brilliant. However the only downside to working in building/property is that things still arent quite picking up enough for alot of work. Living week by week really at the moment. Im just waiting for my SIA door supervisors ticket to come through so that i can do some door work in the quiet times I wouldnt ever consider going back to keepering or any sort of agriicultural work again. I earn 3 times as much now and do half the hours and dont resent my hobbies!
