bullsmilk 2 Posted February 26, 2007 Report Share Posted February 26, 2007 not to long ago i was out with me lightning xl after a few bunnys and i didnt see one all night so in the end i got the arse and gave up put me gear in my 4x4 and left one the way out the lane 2 bunnys ran out of the cover bump straight over the bunnys head...the first and last time ive ran a bunny over but the ferrets didnt mind at all yum yum Quote Link to post

jacob 28 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Share Posted March 11, 2007 i was going to work one morning last november,saw a nice size roe lying on the grass verge, pulled over felt it, it was still warm,i chucked it straight in the back of the truck,my labourer was with me[non hunter]he was cringeing and saying i was an animal,i just laughed all the way back home,i didnt skin it in front of him i think hed have been off, but that deer fed over twenty people at a friend of mines bonfire party,waste not ,want not Quote Link to post

Ossie 11 Posted March 11, 2007 Report Share Posted March 11, 2007 I wouldn't pick a bambi up in case it had been chemically euthanised, heard of it a couple of times on these boards where the vet had left it there. i'm a bit wary about that too now, after reading stuff on the forum. but i just eat a bit myself, and if i feel shitty, i chuck the rest! found a munty buck on the side of the road coming out of norwich last night, got it hung in the bathroom, i'll give it 4 days, then try a bit... and keep an eye on the local news, just in case! had a right good haul last night, the munty in norwich, then driving through the woods i found a hare, a rabbit, 3 pigeons and a pheasant. damn, my animals ate well last night! Think I would rather take the chance and enjoy abit a venison i'd rather not take the chance with my animals! plus, a munty on the pavement on a city road? especially in the posh bit of the city ? you do have to exercise a little caution.
