Guest Dale
Wait for it,Next there's gonna be a collieX what can run over the 5 minute mark You said it!,and maybe it could ,in a fashion "rocking horsing",but could it do it again, after a 20 min rest? and could it catch a hare after a 5 min course?I like collie crosses ,Ive had a couple and Ive a pup with collie blood in it,but I didnt get him for Jacks,Dale is entitled to his preferences,as are we all but for big land the Saluki hybrid is unbeatable,How mant singlehanded competitions have Collie or Deerhound crosses won in the last 20 years? The collie types are at their best at the obedience trials and really shine in them, the Deerhound crosses are fast ,pretty versatile ,especially the bitches as they bring the size down.As we all know its "horses for courses" thank you , thats all it was an opionion , people have them , like i said people * worship* other breeds and only swear by them i,e bull x ect were as i wouldnt touch one , but again thats the end of this post now for me , cheers Dale Quote Link to post

Dale Coursing is a day time sport And why say that you will match your dog with anyones dog then come back and say coursing is illegal? Thats like me saying iv got the best deer killing poodle but as there is a ban i wont be able to prove it, and then me expecting everyone to believe me. If your not willing to course hares while there is a ban then dont post saying you will match your dog against any dog. Quote Link to post

witton 6
Deer grey cant stay enough to run 3 good winter hares , not saying they wont catch a hare , just not good at it ........ its not the breed , its the heart , Iv got a yorkshire terrier with all the heart in the world, she really is a game we thing but would she catch a hare Its not just heart, if the ability and breeding isnt there then the amount of heart isnt going to catch the hare. In my opinion its all about the mix of ability, breeding, stamina, heart, fitness and how the dog is enterd that determins wether the dog will become a good hare dog. If the dog wants to run it will, but if the lungs and stamina isnt there it wont be able to stay. David Quote Link to post
