I live in a 1895 built farm barn conversion (not as swanky as it sounds!) in a very small hamlet with the open countryside and rolling hills in my back (and front) yard.

The location is not as ideal as I would like though (not enough rabbits in my garden hedge!), but it is better than living the townee lifestyle.

Keep the city smog, you're welcome to it . . .

Middle of no where. Mile from the country road and ye can't see my place from it, even if ye know it's here.

Used to live in a flat fronted two up on a quite busy street in an inner city.

My most enduring memories of that shit hole are 1. Walking down to my local one evening and stepping over, in a few strides, the remains of a night befores kebab. An empty Thunderbird bottle. A used condom. I swore to myself, right there and then; I'd get out.

Before I did I, 2. suffered a kid walking past my proerty, with his mother, and simply spitting on my window. (He'll never do that again). Then, 3. members of what the Police already termed " The (local) Road Crew " threw an egg at my window from their gathering point at the flats entrance opposite. Finally, 4. I looked up from my screen one night to see this enraged woman. Her face pressing at all angles against my front window as she screamed her demands to know what I was looking at on my pc! :icon_eek:

I walked. Now I'm here.

As the saying goes; Anyone found on my property at night will be found here in the morning.

grew up in a village, lived in norwich for a year when i was 18, i now live 400 yards down a track, in a tiny hamlet, a mile from town. it's not strictly the arse end of nowhere, but it feels like it! nearest decent pub is almost 6 miles away, and most of my friends are in norwich, so i spend a fair bit of time there. it means a lot of driving, but i couldn't live how i want to live in the city. doubt i'll ever go back, unless i'm suddenly minted & can afford one of the huge posh houses with 1 acre gardens there....

I live on the outskirts of town, and while I'd like a bit more room for this and that, it's just too convenient right now.

Easy to get the kids to school, all amenities close by, and I can walk to the pub in 10 minutes.

Well, I do have priorities don't I?

I live pretty much in the country apart from a Road with a few house down, if you go a couple of Hundred yards past this house you'll be heading into no where and beleive me its heaven, if you look at the pic with the the land behind the house in the distance is where I Fly and shoot on, the other is a Pair of Cock birds squaring up in my driveway...
