Berkutchi 0 Posted February 26, 2007 Author Report Share Posted February 26, 2007 Hi Fletcher Shes a Peregrine x Barbary falcon hunting at 1lb 13oz now,im a traditionalist with hawking and prefer a straight Peregrine but all my pere's are imprinted for AI and i dont want to risk loseing etc any of my breeding stock. I was going to have a p/r tiercel pere but was offered her cheap as she was the last one left in the chamber and couldnt resist. Quote Link to post

I was going to have a p/r tiercel pere but was offered her cheap as she was the last one left in the chamber and couldnt resist. shes a cracking partridge hawk and even ace on Teal but is large enough to have ample fire power on either drake mallard and cock pheasant and all this from a moderate pitch of 200 - 250 feet. Hello there berkutchi i just have a question do you think a pere x barbary has anything to offer over a pure peregrine when flown at game just curious thanks for your help Hi Stollen,no i found Peregrines much more aggresive on quarry and in our strong winds they can tuck into the wind more for power flying,on a windless day she has a strong clippy flight and reaches her pitch quick. But im a purist really and i dont intend to breed from her just 100% peregrinus. Quote Link to post
