Buying Taurine?

Recommended Posts

Allot of these ferret treats ive seen seem to flaunt that they are rich in taurine as does the pastes etc and a lot of food. Anyway since allot of these treats etc are like 5 pound for 30g (not that im bothered just saying) you can get a 100g bag of pure taurine for like a pound.

Would it be good for the ferrets if you gave them a tiny pinch of taurine in with their food? doing that would be like 0.01g at most so im asuming that thats not to much.

So anyway, do you guys think that this is a good idea? getting a 100g bag and giving them a tiny pinch in with their kibble?

cheers.

Edit** note that the tubes of beaphar stuff have about 4.5g in them

No need for it,,, just feed them rabbits, whatever else you can kill / find,, or a good quality dry food like Alpha,,

or a mix of the above,, this paste stuff is just a treat,, a diversion for the ferrets that MAY be usefull for handling to some people,, It is not a suppliment no matter what it says on the tube,, ferrets don`t NEED it,,
