ryangolding 4 Posted June 24, 2011 Report Share Posted June 24, 2011 Hi everybody, ive just got back from the vets after giving my 10 week old pup her secound lot of jabs and once over, the vet listned to her chest, and im heartbroken to say she has a small heart murmur, vet said it could heal itself within the next six months ( im praying!!!) has anybody else come accross this, thankyou for reading this. Hey mate did your vet say how common this type of thing is. I was once told lots of puppies have heart murmers but they heal by the time they're 6 months or so? Now I dunno if this is the case or not but I'm just wondering if your vet was able to tell you if it's a high incidence thing. All the best with her. Quote Link to post
samba 534 Posted June 24, 2011 Report Share Posted June 24, 2011 google it sometimes this caused with stress of going to vets clears up after a time been told this loads of times by vets when pups were 8week old once gave one away as vet said it couldnt be a racing dog dog lived till 16yrs old and caught loads of quarry just dont panic yet think pup would be fine Quote Link to post

lunita 57 Posted June 24, 2011 Report Share Posted June 24, 2011 hopefully she grow out of it.Even if she doesnt we got a retired harrier at the end of his hunting life and when he went to vets hed had a heart murmer, prob his whole life and he had been a good hunting hound thats why they rehomed him..and he lived another five years with us ...so dont worry too much Quote Link to post
