Typical weather

Recommended Posts

As i said yesterday, id get up to my cattle farm permission if the weather was nice...........well it was ok............until i got to the farm that is, literally just loaded the Mag and the heavens opened up :censored::censored: Right, thats me sitting in the car until it stops, i drove round to the big barn and parked up outside, doves everywhere inside, escaping the rain, only problem is the air ranger is 177 and if the pellet over penetrates the doves......... then the cows will be gettin wet :whistling: so i sit and have a fag.....as you do  , i decide to have a quick zero inside one of the empty barns, most of the grain has been sown now so i have some room to play with

Zero seems fine so i go and sit back in the car

when a few doves again shuffle into sight along the steel beams, this gives me the chance to put a daystate heavy through them, with the steel girder as a safe back stop  One down, two down, three down  all falling in with the cows, i dont need to worry about retrieving them as les (farmer) just tells me to leave them and either the cats will get them or he will when he mucks out and feeds tonight, only bad thing is that those three wont make the photos  lol anyway, i pull round to one of the smaller barns and theres a nice fat woodie sat on the roof, maybe 30 yards at a push, window down.....thwack, down he tumbles, all the way to the floor. Retrieve him and sling him in the footwell

The rain is easing off so im going to have a walk round the outsides of all the barns, 2 more woodies meet their maker and 4 doves, both woodies stuck on the roof, and 3 of my 4 doves nearly made it off the roof but got stuck in the guttering, so having shot 3 woodys and 4 doves all i managed to retrieve was one of each :icon_redface:

Theres more doves to be had, but les and his son are starting to muck out and feed so i leave them in peace and set off home.

Yea id love to have a go mate, any excuse to twist your turrets before the comp, im hanging onto that trophy by any means and as I havent fired my rifle since the last comp I can't be relying on skill alone

Blowing in peoples ear, or holding the string on the knockdows are other favorates  davy has them well practaced

It'll be a [bANNED TEXT] gud craic

P.s if you want pies bring your own as down here you'll only get pasties and if you ask for gravy people look at you strange, I know, I know, wierd is'nt it? Had the shock of my life when moved down here, went to the chippy for chips and gravy as you do, NO GRAVY!! . . . .

Gave the chips back in discust and said " you can keep your curry sauce an all, call this a chippy you should be ashamed "

Wouldent even batter me a mars bar to go!!

Bad times.
