Ive lost dog's but got them back and they is nothing worse than wondering where they are, a pet cat to a cat owner is just the same as a dog to a dog owner, say nothing but leave it somewhere where the owner might find it as that will give them peace of mind and closure.

on road flatten it ,and tell em where you seen it, as above, its not nice but its peace of mind

chuck it in a bush and say nout

Yes ! it's a shame cat owners haven't, when they let their cats out to cause havoc , shitting all over my garden, harassing my chickens, climbing allover my aviary, killing songbirds the second they l

Take it to your local Indian, drop the skin they will give you £8quid

Makes me laugh when people say cat owners don't care about their cats cos they let them roam.

Its cruel to keep a cat stuck in a house, they should be roaming, its what they do. But when you own a cat you're aware of the dangers whether it be cars or dogs, a streetwise cat will survive, a dumb ass one won't.

As has been said, a cat means as much to the owner as your dog does to you. Back your car over it and leave it on the road outside their house so they think its been run over, at least they know then. I had a dog go missing once, nothing worse than not knowing what happened!

i reckon the best thing would be to leave it a couple of days then go and tell the neighbours the dogs found it in the hedge while out on thier evening walk!

Christ no! They'll blame the dogs no matter what!!! In the road every time!

This happened to me once, locally - when I was still naive enough to believe I could let my dogs off in the field near my house.

I went knocking to find out who it belonged to, fessed up to the owner, took what was coming, and apologised genuinely.

If it were my cat I'd want to know.

And if you flatten it with your car it's not going to erase the bite marks - I'd be nosey enough to check.

if you feel really bad leave the cat by the roadside, leave it a month or so and call up to their house with a kitten, say you found it outside their house, is it theirs?

and if they dont want the kitten?

plus there might be someone in the household secretly glad its gone :whistling:

i was catch 22 situation a few months ago ,dogs got a pet rabbit it was right back of some houses,so i thought rather then fling in abush i,ll knock on afew doors in the street ,anyway found out whos rabbit it was and they were understanding a new that is was accident ,what i,m trying 2 say is if someone was watching and i just flung it then the owners found out it could of look a lot worst ,if the rabbit/cat had been in the middle of fields with no houses or witness then i would stick it the bush
