test date

Recommended Posts

Depends how old they are and what they have/can be used for. If they are surface use only (the gauge is part of the valve that attaches to the cylinder), they will have a test date of 5 years. So they may not have been tested yet, so you will have to look for the manufacture date that is stamped on the bottle (usually near the top)... If they have a gauge that screws into the valve you must have a visual test between the 5 year test. Once again if under 5 years old you must look for the manufacture date to see when a test is due.

If the bottles have had a test there will be a patch metal somewhere near the top with the test date and test centre stamped into ut. I will have a look and see if I have got a stamp on our new bottles that I can show you...

Some test centres put stickers on with the date punched out that tells youw hen a test is due!

Sounds like all could do with a hydrostatic test, if the latest test date was 04 they should have been re-tested 2 years ago, so time to find a local test centre for your bottles, where in the country are you?

im in west yorkshire there is a diving shop round the corner from me il try them. thanks for the advice im new to shooting and dont have a clue about the equitment
