fitchet 788
hi all ive got a 10 month old 3/8 5/8 bull cross is comming on well. the only thing im abit worried about is when he running about with my collie cross he sometimes yaps i think out of frustration. now my qestion is would this lead to him opening up on quarry ? ive seen a few dogs open up on rabbits and its not something i want in my dogs is there anything i can do to stop it ? im thinking i should just make sure his first few rabbits are real easy so he doesnt get frustrated ? any advice greatly appreciated. bigbulls 26
Don't worry too much about something that hasn't happened yet bud. All you can do is what you have said really, try to give the dog every chance on its first few do's and perhaps don't encourage the sort of scenario that's causing the yapping. Quote Link to post
six pointer 2
the more clappers the better . giv him a few half grown things . why does a cheeter fetch a young fawn back for its cubs still alive . easy and give them a taste , slow slow slow slowly with the dog no rush seen many a young dog spoilt had his bluck nocked in only coz of rushing in . some dogs take time and yet sum take to it like a duck to water few lads up here have whippet x greyhounds they fast learners .
