I don't think that there really is a calibre suitable for both unless you are not eating the rabbits. I would suggest .22 / .17hmr for the rabbits and .223 for foxes (personal preference) The latter will kill rabbit at extended ranges but does tend to wreck them Quote Link to post

I think most shooters will use a centre fire for fox so if you looking to have one rifle for both fox and rabbit my choice is a .22-250, there is also the .222. I use a Remington 700 custom with .22-250 55g Winchester Super X just under 4000 FPS and just about flat out to 300 meters. The rounds come in at approx £0.75 each so not a cheap way to control rabbit. Quote Link to post
