tom-praireCS 3
hi all, i've got an r-10 mk1 and the mag seems to leave a pellet or two usually 3rd/4th after a full cycle. is this a mk1 problem, pellet issue as i've only used one type, or magazine? also do ultra multishot magazines fit in r-10? thanks all has anyone got any idea of these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-shot-22-Magazine-fits-all-BSA-multishot-2011-model-/290546474912?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item43a5eb5fa0#ht_1125wt_698 Edited June 21, 2011 by tom-praireCS Quote Link to post

Ron Weasley 83
Hi mate, This has been a common problem with the early R10s. Mine did it, but it rarely seems to happen now. I found that giving the bolt a firmer tug back than usual made the mag index. The link you show is the new type of self indexing mag. I've not used one, but apparently they're great. The Mk1 R10 will need an alteration to allow them to work though I believe. That's something that I'm hoping to do at some point. Quote Link to post

mikeyblue 28
Just one to watch lads, if using the newer mags in the R10 MK1s', the power can tend to creep up. Unsure why, but Ive seen on the BSA Owners Group this has been an issue for a few lads. Kind Regards, Mikey. Quote Link to post
Metalman2 45
There is a guide on the BSAOG on the stripping/service of the mags which is very good. I use the new (red) mags and you will always cycle a pellet, but i think there is a potential problem. This is down to the fact that there is pressure on the bolt when a pellet is chambered, and in my opinion will cause premature wear on the probe o-ring. The power increase will be caused by the fact that self indexing removes some of the pressure off the hammer Quote Link to post
