how to drop a fixed longnet behind the bunnies

right here is the problem, there is a few fields that are moving with bunnys(30/40 to the acre), they have to be removed alive off the property,there is too much cover to use ferrets. what i want to do is get some longnets out during the day and keep the bottom of the net off the groung so the rabbits can come out under it, so when it gets dark i can go and trigger some sort of a pull chord so the net will drop and run the rabbits into tne net..has anyone any info how i can make this happen????

There is some nets like you describe with the bottom connected to a Plastic ring that slides down when you pull the cord

It can be done but leaving a net set all day where everybody could see it ,it would definatly be stolen id snare it and then if a snare gets lifted its only pennies

dropnets are what your after mate. you would have to leave them a couple of days at least just to let the rabbits get used to them, no way you can set your nets after dark?

just get on with a trad net and take your time...
