Headshot08 36
I see alot of people wanting pure polecats or black eyed whites and greyhound ferrets! But over all does it really matter? A friend of mine has silvers and they work no better than my normal polecat jills? Steve Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Doesn't make any difference mate, apart from some of the fancy colors are probably crap workers as working ability was not the main motivation in breeding. Quote Link to post
CarraghsGem 92
the next ferret i buy will be a sandy or albino hob kit, had a silver once, it had no interst in working Quote Link to post

A friend of mine has silvers and they work no better than my normal polecat jills? Steve I dont think they would work any better than any other bog standard ferret.I dont see why people have to try breeding exotic fancy cross this and fancy cross that other than making more money and that goes for dogs aswell ATB Seany Quote Link to post
The one 8,503
Colour doesn't matter one jot .i try to breed or get worker to worker kits and work them hard and even them a few dont make the grade .The big differnce with me having differnt coloured ferrets is with a few in i can tell at a glance whos showing and who we havent seen for a while without tramping over the burrow . Being honest working ability has to come first and foremost for me . Differnt colours are nice but i fail to see how my silvers are twice the price of my albinos and B.E.W.s three times the price when mine get worked the same wouldn't be there if they weren't up to it Quote Link to post
