jigsaw 11,899 Posted February 24, 2007 Report Share Posted February 24, 2007 (edited) Bang on DS pipefish,havnt come across them on my rambles on beaches,but if there was a severe gale and a lot of seaweed washed up on the beach thats probably the reason.Once they get seperated from the seaweed they dont have a great resistance from the current,they end up where ever they are pushed.I may be incorrect but I believe this to be the case. bill88 6 Posted February 25, 2007 Report Share Posted February 25, 2007 Pipefish without a doubt,seen them washed up before,when it's been rough and the mackerel have been pushing them up the beach.Not sure why they would have been washed up at this time of year,but i have seen it happen with these and whitebait before.
