AlbertJ 569
The track has been mown and is in good order. The track will not be watered as plenty of rain has fallen! But with the fair almost completely built the ground is in good order. Final arrangements for the race are as follows: Proceedings will start at 1.00 on Saturday 25th June with the public draw for the Master Mc Grath heats. There will be 4 or 5 heats with the winner of each heat going through to the final. There will be three line judges. One lurcher enthusiast and two independent judges. In the event of a 'photo' finish - majority of line judges make the decision. Although there is also a nice prize a £250 watch for runner up. I will be present at all facets of this event to help supervise the running of it. After the Master Mc Grath there will be the normal All Ireland Racing over the longer distance. I wish all the competitors the very best in what should be an exciting final which will be televised by two different channels. And I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the show organisers who hosted qualifiers and all who competed in these qualifiers. I think we have started something that can grow to be a glittering Irish competition and if it is a success this year we will extend and expand it next. Bri 81
Hello AlbertJ I attended the fair at Ballywalter and got a free ticket for Shane's castle. The ticket is for Saturday but I was wondering if it could be used for Sunday instead as I have a lurcher and terrier for the shows. Cheers Bri
