Nell my whippet

Recommended Posts

Got her from a member of this forum, and she has proven to be my best working dog, at 15 months old, and just like me, likes nowt better than to be out and about, easily livestock trained from the very start, recall spot on, has free run of my home, and never once soiled the house, a very loving and happy member of my household, and along with my blue bitch , which is also a very good worker, roll on the season we are more than ready, im just a rabbiting man, and pleased to say , i have the dogs to do just that

Thank you jettyboy, heres Nell

Is there any barbed wire round your way, I'm on the look out for a whippet pup but barbed wire is my only concern

For what it's worth my whippet's never had so much a scrape but the lurcher tangles with barbed wire more than any living thing should.

I saw the results, really nasty, with a little non help from the vet of course.

That's not the only time she's done it, but it was certainly the worst. She's got scars all over ... and one spot that she's opened twice. It's like living with a rough coated onion, that's how bloody thin her skin is. Such a let down. She runs out of the woods, there's a tear. She jumps a fence, there's a scrape. Yesterday all she did was hang out in the garden and she's got a scrape on her backbone :icon_eek:

The whippet, however, is tough as old boots. Unless my tiny little terrier is chewing his ears, that makes him cry

Great to see pics of Nell Keith - she's looking really fit - and it sounds like your enjoying yourselves. The other pups from Lucys litter are also doing well in the field and their owners are over the moon with them. Here's a few pics:

Cassie - bitch my brother took
