what happens when you cross silver with silver.... do you get derformities?

also are micro ferret just the ruts of the litter?

You can do mate, it really increases the chance, and if you breed silver to silver for a few gens its almost 100% that they end up all f****d.

Micros can be the runt, but normally they have been selective bred, smallest to smallest for some time.

You can line breed anything, that's how different strains, breeds etc are created in a true breeding sense.

How many are in the litter mate? If it's a big litter she has probably alwasy been last to get fed and over time its getting more and more pushed away and so the size difference is growing. She may well catch up later in life. Why good for ferreting? Small enough to go down holes is all that matters, weak isn't necessarily good.

9 in the litter, she has 7 teets. good for ferreting because the rabbits can get round her instead, of a big fat hob where they pin them to a dead end and they cant get round them

That will be why then mate, she's not getting as much food as the others. Try and out her on her own with the jill in a box for a half an hour or so every so often, maybe couple of times a day. Will give her a boost. Small ish is handy for what you said, but only if the rabbits get past and then bolt rather than just run about. Very small ferrets are likely to get a hold and then be dragged about, or get kicked off and give up on a stubborn rabbit, also i have seen small tough ones kill in more, as they can climb over a rabbits back whilst in a stop end and get to the throat. But i'm sure she will be fine
