Dog Attacked

Recommended Posts

it should be pretty simple,if your dog gets attacked sue the owner, people who just want to ban/license everything must be incredibly ignorant or have no concept of freedom.

The only problem is compensation is little use if you end up with a crippled or dead dog.

I agree, but if the owner of the attacking dog is financially crippled with on going vet/physio bills as well as paying heavily for your mental anguish the problem will soon sort itself.

If they are already financially crippled your on to plums also then theres maybe kids suffering behind that scenario and they wont pay heavily for your mental anguish either doesnt work like that with a dog fight ffs theres bigger problems in courts these days dogs fights are the last thing theyre interested in

we should be pushing for more responsibility on the owner, not pushing to have our own freedom reduced just to get at people who have a different type of dog.

the phrase 'cutting off the nose to spite the face' mean anything to you?

The phrase barking at the moon does though how can people be sued if they have no money? Then theres the fact you need to be able to afford the fees for suing in the first place not too mention 1 year or 2 later what goods it then to you ffs.Doesnt stop your dog suffering in the meantime does it.You can already do this so why arent people doing it mmm maybe cos it costs a small fortune and the other side doesnt pay the costs a lot of the time perhaps.it could end up costing you more to sue than the vets bill.People need to learn how to handle their dog in every situation possible and leanr when to let their dog run free and how to do basic stuff like put a harness/collar on properly

Don't listen to people who say that the dog is unlikely to run again: I've seen much worse on my own dogs, and they have healed fine. Obviously the bruising is a concern, and yes, the wound could brea

staff's are on another level excluding apbt's of course. I'm not condoning what the staff did but its what it was bred to do. The fault lies at the handlers feet.

yeah mate that'll do the breeds involved image a world of good plastered on the front of the echo. why even blame the dog?   it should imo be pts but only because most people couldnt care for it pr

The staff was a bull baiting dog not a dog on dog fighter originally.Regardless i truely think that a lot of it is down to youngsters who know fine well what they have on the end of a lead they just dont care and when it goes wrong the dog lands in a rescue shelter to be killed. They dont even have the balls to see it through themselves.I know a lad who originally took the dog an 8/9 month old pup to the police station this is a lurcher btw not a staffy said it mauled the youngest kid when it hadnt he thought it might though so dogs sitting in a cat and dog home cos he isnt man enough to pts himself.Told the kids the police shot it this is a prime egsample of tits owning dogs.

Your wrong the bulldog was bred to fight bulls then when the terrier was bred to the bulldog making the 'bull and terrier aka staffordshire bull terrier they were used for dog fights, also used for badger baiting but their main purpose was dog fighting. ;)

if they havent got the money either prison or they can pay it in installments with a big increase, directly out of their benefits if thats what it takes.

its not a lesson they'd soon forget,if its not ideal at the moment more people need to start suing and allowing the precedent to be set that these crimes wont go unpunished.

good to hear they're paying the vet bills at least,i hope you dont let them off too lightly mate.

Spot on

It was onlt the Bull Terrier that was breed for the gentlemen about town.As by the time Hinks had produced what He wanted, dog fighting was banned.Yes I know there is a small minoroty of so called real dog men out there that enjoying nothing more than letting there dogs rip each other to pieces.

Reading some of the comments on how people pull dogs apart does make Me think perhaps they have never seen this. Many moons ago My two stud dogs managed to get at one another, a kennel door left slightly a jar, and boom. No growling, sniffing Just at it and by the time I had run the 30 foot or so to them they had a real hold of one another. Tried choking off each other hard to do on Your own with two dogs. Impossible springs to mind. Thankfully we have a large koi pond in the garden I managed to push them in there. They let go and I managed to grab one of them and get him in his kennel with the other in hot pursuit. End result was one with some nasty front leg punctures, the other the one in My avatar had a shattered hock. Took the dogs days to calm down. How people can go along and watch this for fun is beyond Me. One of the most horrific things I have ever seen, and hope I never see anything like this again

No not at all mate I boxed for years, and enjoyed it, as that was My choice. I was never forced, or prevoked to fight.

As for a breakstick not alot of cop when two dogs are at it and one man, no doubt I could of got there in the end with this but 6 foot deep cold water did the job just perfect.

When any of My dogs where used, bitches were always muzzled and stood. Why on earth would I risk one of My lads getting a face full of teeth. Come on pal get a grip. No doubt this will result in some stupid nasty comment as before.

real dogmen do not force a dog to fight, they choose to or whats the point in selective breeding to produce traitsi.e gameness, its when one dog gives up it has lost but with todays idiots and money the dogs become less of a priority which is why the origanal pitbull terrier is becomeing extinct (im not talking about them little fat 120lb Apbt either :tongue2: )

just my opinion mate

Right so prison well err they dont have room for rapist murderers and kiddie fiddlers but theyre gonna make space somehow for peoples who dgo attacked another dog are you on drugs mate seriously? Take money off the already poor leading to more crime yep sounds like a plan :wallbash: The simple short answer is a dog lead and if required a muzzle fine people for not having a dog lead on their person the laws in place for it already so why its not enforced i dont know.Ive always got a lead for each dog and a spare lead in my pocket cos Storms great at breaking them my spare lead is always a slip lead for its usefullness in loads of ways.People need to learn to be able to control their dogs. All these pet terriers you see lately and owners dont have a clue what their little bundle of joy is capable off doesnt help matters cos lets face it terriers can start a fight over f**k all.We let murderers roam free in this country so theres no hope of a dog owner going to jail cos their dog attacked another

f*****g twats mate..............boils my piss when i read this as it brings back memories of when my dog got attacked. Luckily he wasn't injured at the time but its still a worrying time. Typical f*****g owners trying to pass the buck to, it was a woman with me which was probably better as it was just a shouting match and basically her told tae "f**k off and keep her mutts on a lead"....if it was a man then it might have been different....... :censored::yes:

Hope yer dog heals up fine mate........keep a nice heavy stick with you on a walk when you go. They dont like that over the head.........

you would of brought him a drink
