lurchergrrl 1,441
FECKIN HELL ,...... I RARELY COME ON THE DOG SECTIONS THESE DAYS AND THIS THREAD HAS JUST REINFORCED MY ORIGINAL OPINIONS ......ITS FULL OF LADS WHO WILL NEVER MAKE DOG MEN AS LONG AS THEY'VE A HOLE IN THEIR ARSE ! ANYONE WHO WORKS A DOG WILL GET BAD INJURIES FROM TIME TO TIME . IT GOES HAND IN HAND WITH THE GAME , IVE SEEN SOME THAT WOULD MAKE YER HAIR CURL AND THINK THAT THERES NO WAY A DOG WILL SURVIVE THAT LET ALONE RUN / WORK AGAIN YET THEY DO ....... IVE SEEN HUNDREDS OF RIPS FAR WORSE THEN THE BULL CROSS DID ,.... FROM DOGS GETTING ROLLED 50YARDS DOWN A ROAD UNDERNEATH A WAGON TO HITTING THE EDGE OF A STEEL SHEET AT FULL TILT ...... IT MAKES ME REALLY WONDER EXACTLY HOW HOW MOST OF THE JOKERS ON HERE POSTING ALL THE TIME REALLY KNOW OR HAVE DONE ???????? BUT OF COURSE YOU LOT KNOW THE FITTER A DOG GETS THE THINNER HIS HIDE BECOMES ,.... DIDNT YOU ??????.... YEAH RIGHT NO ITS NOT RIGHT TO HAVE A FOOLS DOG BUST INTO YOURS AND THE OWNER DESERVES THE PUNISHMENT ...NOT . THE DOG , THEY ARE ONLY DOING WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN BRED FOR FOR GENERATIONS ,.......SAME AS A LURCHER RUNNING A RABBIT ....... THERE SEEMS TO BE A HUGE LACK OF WORKING DOG KNOWLEDGE AMONGST THE KIDS ON HERE , ITS REALLY SURPRIZING CONSIDERING THE AMOUNT OF INFORMATION FOR A DOG MAN OUT THERE NOW AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET , .. SOME SEEM TO DELIGHT IN TALKING TRASH TO ALL THAT WILL LISTEN INSTEAD OF SITTING BACK AND THINKING ABOUT THE INFORMATION GIVEN DUCKWING Think it's fair to say that we all learn as we go? We don't come out of a box all-knowing. The first time a dog gets badly injured, it can make a person feel a bit panicky. I'd say it's a good thing that the OP feels reassured. Next time - and there will certainly be a next time - the lesson learned from this one will probably stick. And anyone else reading who maybe thought a bad injury is the very end will know that's not always the case. Threads like this are a good thing if you ask me. Quote Link to post

Long as you keep dogs you'll always be learning, that's what I think. Maybe some of the kids (or adult plonkers for that matter) might learn a thing or two reading threads such as this. We can always hope, anyway Quote Link to post

thorny 100
staff's are on another level excluding apbt's of course. I'm not condoning what the staff did but its what it was bred to do. The fault lies at the handlers feet. Dog fighting was banned in the 1800`s so any fighting blood should be long lost. They should be nothing more than family pets now, as many are, until total dickhead owners who get hold of them or any other of the Bull breeds and think they like being hit constantly teased, encouraged to bite down on things and swung around by only the stregnth in there jaws, and baited to passing dogs on the street.Just to componsate for there own masculinity. Personally I believe that any bull breed should be liscenced, and a minimum age of ownership. Before anyone starts up saying Bollocks to that, look at the picture of this kids dog, then think where You fall responsible owner or a dickhead with a potential leathel dog. I am a Bull breed owner and have been for many years. I pride Myself on how as a family we rear our dogs. I am shocked this dog was not put to sleep. I know what I would be doing now, so this never happens again, to anyone one else`s dog or even worse a child. 1 Quote Link to post

Cold Ethyl 63
1rst of all go and slap staffy owner f*****g tits to try and blame someone else when theyre clearly in the worng.Your dog will heal fine im sure and will run again seen dogs in a lot worse states run again just keep it clean if it looks gooey or smells back to the vet.You brothers a better man than me last dog that flew at my lad who is muzzled nearly got strangled with the dog lead shouting my dogs ok lol eh well it seems to be embedded in my dogs neck so i donty think so.Id be telling them your paying my vets bills or a report the incident simple as that and make it clear you wont be so nice next timethat could have been an old lady with a dog getting bit trying to defend the dog.for future ref though choking is the most effective way to get them to let go of the other dog Quote Link to post
