Fingers crossed for you, the hen is obviously still on form, at this time of year it being so close to the moult (my canaries have started with one or two exceptions) it is possible she may start to moult whilst sitting the eggs and jump the nest, I hope this is not the case it mostly depends on the local temperatures and decrease in daylight hours....

That thought had crossed my mind if she'd see it through,so if there inside bud then keep the lights on the same as they are and she might just go all the way through and rear them.Good luck and keep us updated on progress.

there out in the shed,only got me 5 mules in the house out the road ov me canarys

Your mules will be wanting to hear your goldie cock singing to teach them the song or get a cd for them to listen to mate,i've a cd i play to mine as the mules are a little way from the finches.To tell the truth my greenie mules are in the same shed and have been listening to goldie song more than they have greenie so we'll have to wait to see what they will end up singing .

2nd egg this morning,n me red factors av laid an egg to,stuck me goldie mules outside yesterday cos av put em on carophyll red in there water,as they wudnt touch the red eggfood,so looks like theyl end up mixed noted, kept me greenie mules in house as there eaten the red eggfood,we,l c [bANNED TEXT] the difference is in there colour, how do greenie mules sing,are they any gud cheers

im using pure english goldie cd easty,got it running all the time, got the five mules together,,,hens sitting for eggs again

can you put a male canary over a female goldy im also new to this ,kept both breeds for a few years but never bred

Yes you can,not sure how hard it'll be to do but you can but try.

the goldie hen will and does breed with the canary ,try a mosaic cock with her .thecanary influence colour wise does seem to pass through in the youngsters ,bred this way .some very good mules and hybrids have come about through pairing odd birds together.atb bunnys
