Rich91 1
Any advice would be much appreciated even if it is of no help! So after 5 weeks of repairs my HW100 was working ok until the regulator which the gunsmith was suppose to have rebuilt started sticking again. I went back to the shop to complain etc and they said they would have to send it off to Hull Cartridge and I wasn't happy about this because I just paid £65 for the regulator to be rebuilt and he tried telling me it was £150 for a service at Hull Cartridge and I cannot send it myself it has to go through a RFD - I knew this wasn't true but he wasn't having any of it. He rummaged round in a box and produced the regulator block along with the cocking lever block and said take this away and try it. Indeed I did but with the reg block leaking I put my o-ring on it and it seemed to be fine. At this time I'd not taken one apart before and I didn't know it was the regulator sticking. So after playing round with various bits etc I managed to put together a working gun. Put it through the chrono, DOH! 14.6 ft lbs bugger! I rung the gunshop to tell them it was shooting over and he said to take the backing plate off and turn the allen bolt down. I done that and dodnt know how sensitive it was, 128 fps lol. I tried turning it back up and this is where the trouble started. The cocking lever was sometimes hard to push forward and sometimes rather easy but I cannot work out if it was easy with the cylinder on/off, lever cocked or uncocked when turning the allen key or cylinder off or whatever. I can fiddle with that after I sort out the pellet probe. Pellet probe problem: Basically the pellet probe doesn't push the pellet far enough and I cannot fully close the lever. It feels as if something is jamming it inside but I cannot see anything although I've not taken it properly apart I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Is it to do with the allen bolt? The spring power for the hammer? Also when you cock the rifle the cocking lever doesn't stay right out like it should and click into place to spin the magazine and engage the next pellet. I will put pictures up when I get home of my cocking lever and the one from the gunshop to show the difference. Thanks for any help in advance, Rich. Quote Link to post

That is,if everything else is okay. atb Brian Edited June 18, 2011 by WILDAXBOXER Quote Link to post
airtech 39
unless the shop or company are very confident and have the tools to work on a reg and set up the gun then send it back to the manufactures the hw 100 reg is built into the main block and is not one of the easiest to set up after stripping and rebuilding the reg how did they test it ???? we use a guage that we but onto the block to see what pressure the reg is set at and to see if it repeats and stopes at same pressure every time if you still have problems give us a shout i have probably more knolede on reged guns than many so called gun dealers regards carl airtech rifles Quote Link to post
