For a semi that going to cost you around £330 new its a good buy, not my cup of tea but i do have one in the gun cabinet thats not be used since i got it second hand, but does make a good cheap back up gun.

If money is not too tight, go for a Benelli or a Berreta ES110.

The Benelli and the ES100 runs from the recoil of the cartridge whereas the others including the Escort run off gasses taken from the barrel blown back through the for-end. This means that when you shoot a cartridge with a gas powered gun the for-end gets full of cr*p and burnt powder from the cartridge, this then builds up in the forend which makes it a pain to clean and can build up and can lead to reliability ssues. The Berreta is a bargain you can buy a brand new one from guntrader from £685 yes a bit more than an escort but its a brand new berreta!

Having said all that I also have an escort i the cabinet too, I use it lamping off the quad because I paid £350 for it brand new in camo with a three years warranty, the way I looked at it that £120 a year and after that if its knackered I am not bothered. Its a cheap peice of cr*p and I am not bothered if it gets covered in mud and blood etc.

Sorry I think I probably just muddied the water even further!

what sort of price to those go for second hand ?

I got my one from guntrader at £500 in wet camo and mint condition,

NO get a bennelli 8 shot! Never been let down by mine! Brilliant gun.

Need that on the ticket and need deep pockets to buy and put the cartridges in :gunsmilie::whistling:

Aye it needs to be on your ticket but no trouble getting it on. As a work gun getting used every day its brilliant changed my berretta for it. And cartridges arent exspensive if your not paying for them :whistling:

I brought an Escort brand new for £400 with a slip. Its a decent gun for the money i use mine for clays now and again and pigeon shooting. A mate has brought a Benelli Vinci and he is having problems with it cycling 28g carts. The Hatsan has no probs with 28g shells.
