Recommended Posts

Right chaps bare with me im crying like a baby typing this

last thursday the 9th june 2011 our family had the worst news you could have ever imagined

my nephew gareth hague had passed away this has just blown our whole world appart.

He was the most caring kind generous giving and genuine lad anyone could ever wish to meet he worked with his dad mum at thair garden centre at wath upon dearn rotherham and was 23 years old

Gareth was a very keen shooter and into everything us lot like he was real gent and the life and soul of anywere he went he was a real people magnet and a real land rover nut.

about 2 year ago his very best friend garry who he grew up with was in a tragic car accident leaving him brain injuries and wheel chair bound. our gareth bless him spent every day sat by his bed in hospital while his pal was in life support in a comer and was huge support to garrys parents and brother.

garry is now having to stay in a hospice away from his family every nite when he could and should be home with his mum dad and brother .

this is breaking his parents heart as it did our gareth.

the reason hes not at home is because the house they have had to move to needs adapting to accomadate young garry and the grant was simply no way neer enough

and they were told there is no more money available

my sister and brother inlaw gareths mum n dad wants to get garry home and we have asked all our friends and family to try and donate as much or as little as poss its not just the money to get materials for the building work

but any local builders ,plasterers , sparkies , plummers who could help in any way with anything

would meen the world and more to garrys mum and dad and especially our gareth and his mum and dad ,tracy and garry hague and his sister beth

LETS GET GARRY HOME

An idea Craig, try askign the local Rotary club and Lions club, see if they can help, a lot of local businessmen belong to that, builders, decorators, carpeters etc, they helped a woman where I worked get a bungalow suitable for their son after he was in a bad motorbike accident!

I'm really sorry to hear that, Craig, and I wish I was in a better place myself and could offer you more help.

It may well be worth contacting your local Masonic lodge. The Mason's are the second biggest fund raisers for charity after the lottery in the UK. It can't hurt to ask and I hope you get the help that's needed.

Cheers.

Also if you have a Buffs/buffaloes/ROAB. (ask descreatly at a few local pubs)

From what I understand, they are like a poor mans version of the masons.

They do lots of fund raising for charities & individuals. (The lodge (back room of a pub)in the area that I used to live has given nebulisers to people that were desperate for one.) So it is well worth making enquries for the help that is needed, If they can help they will.

Hi Craig,

I started shooting in January this year, and met Gareth in Feb ,shooting with his uncle John.

Since then ,every week weve been shooting ,4 of us ,at ravenfeld and Wortley,

I was with Gareth the night before he died ,we had been shooting at Wortley,we went for a couple of pints after ,in the Hilltop. We had a right laugh,he was buzzing about his holiday.I was absolutely devasted about the news.Having known him only a short time, the effect he had on my personally was untrue. What a briliant, kind ,funny lad he was .Knowing him has changed me forever.I feel robbed that i cant be with him anymore,God only knows what his family and friends are going through .The Old saying GOD ONLY TAKES THE BEST really is true, RIP TOP LAD gary s
