skycat 6,173
I remember him bending my ear at a show many years ago> he says that whether or not a dog is a tumbler depends on its body shape: those which need to rugby tackle their rabbits are tumblers, the ones which just pick them up without going head over heels are lurchers. At least I think that is what he was trying to say   Quote Link to post

Hi mate, youve got an alright looking dog there, I am a bit of a newbie regarding lurchers, so what is the difference between a tumbler and a normal lurcher, is it a specific breed, is it a running style, what exactly is the difference. Are they more effective rabbit catchers, or is it a style that is more suited to a certain terrain. i'm genuinely interested. Googling it doesnt give much info. if yous guys have them it would be more informative to hear your views firsthand. Cheers Pernod Quote Link to post
