Red fells or red lakelands

I know its a little of the mark but,when i kept ferrets as a kid,I always loved polecats rather than albinos.They never worked any better or worse,but it was my preferance.I supose my point is that you can have different colours of workers and different colours of failures.Just my view.clachan

Just a remark I have to make! If I had of started a topic saying I was looking for a "black" patterdale or fell type terrier! I don't think there'd be half the interrogation from Yee folk! So what's the problem with someone wanting to breed on red dogs instead of black or White dogs?????

Nothing mate.Everyone to their own.If thats what you want,go for it and dont let anyone change your mind.I dont see the big issue,You dont see terriermaniac asking you why you keep black,white terriers.Good luck on your search.clachan

i keep fell terriers mostly black but i have a couple red and black and tan.its not about colour with me its about work ability if am happy with there work il breed from them regardless of there colour.i can trace back most of my dogs breeding twenty or thirty years all from the same strain but is not my own am just trying to carry it on. he is back tracking on the the colour qeustion now. he also said he wanted to keep his line going with what?a 3qtr russell and a pup he may buy in that he knows f**k all about or who ever breeds it.he says in a different tread that his frends have good hard dogs surly there has to be a dog from them he could use and stick to whatever he knows.sound like a messer to me

Thats not the point.Why are all the EXPERTS interrogating him?Who gives a f**k if he wants a red dog or a green dog its his money.And my dogs are only pets no good to him.
