easy, keep the falcon and buy a '95 anyway! I plan on having a HW95 to accompany my falcon one day (if funds/the missis will ever allow it!) Could really do with a springer so i dont have to worry about running out of air now the days are longer and camping on the permission is a possibility.

in regards to your question, the '95 I've heard, is a fantastic rifle, although I've never shot one. I would also recommend a Webley Stingray or a HW90K.

Webleys are expensive for what they are, which is basically a Hatsan! The 55 and 60 are near clones of the Stingray, but with a much easier to use safety catch! If you want a really good top end springer look on the secondhand market! Otherwise save the cash and get a Hatsan!

Secondhand springers of quality start at not much more than the prices that Hatsans are at! So if you want a HW google it, type in HW 95 for sale, press return, then set the page for UK, set the time limit for a week, maybe a month, then read through! This will drag up posts on other sites as well, we picked up a rare Super 10 on a falconry forum!

The BSA Lightning is well liked for a spring powered weapon as well!

They're one of those guns, Mike, that are as often as not are a first gun and so lots of people have very fond memories of shooting their first rabbit or whatever with one, so their reputation has always out grown their actual abillity.

They are rubbish compared to the competition, however. The trigger's crap by any standrds, the build's always been second rate, now third rate since they've moved production to Spain, they've got that stupid scope rail that means if you're useing any standard size mount the scope will be off centre, they always twang like feck and the moderator's next to useless.

Cheers.

Ah I understand now, but at least I know I am right on the Hatsan/Webley part, damned stocks are near identical (Webley has an extra carving on the left hand side for the fiddly safety), same damned mechanism, recoil absorbing system, even the advanced metallurgical spring!

Trouble is the Stringray (modern version) is about £100 more than the Hatsan, which has a better safety catch (nice on rear end of action big push switch)! But for not much more than the new out the box Hat you can have a secondhand rifle of quality, your German springers (HW or Diana) or the Air Arms. Depends what you like I suppose. I know I had no trouble with my Hatsans, but plenty of people have reported problems! So for the sake of keeping the money you spend worth being something when you trade it in, go for the quality makes!

but i have been told a .177 2 shot clip also fits a .22 (i could not get a .22 2 shot clip) and they are a lot cheaper if all you want is a fast follow up shot incase the worst happens.
