jf1970 328
hi mate, i have a 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy and i started her of at 5mths out ferreting, then at 7 mths i had her out on the lamp with a friends more experienced whippet, letting her watch the other dog, then slipping her on a squatter at the end of the night, you will get loads of advice on when to start on the lamp, my pup was the same age as yours at this time of year and she was out watching on the lamp in november. atb with your new pup. Guest no1 jacker
alrite guys getting my new whippet pup on saturday it will be 11 weeks old im just wandering when would be a sensible age to start it off on the lamp bitches mature quicker then dogs,id start a bitch off slowly about 9 months onwards and a dog 12 months onwards, because you dont want them opening up when chasing rabbits take your time dont rush it Quote Link to post
