SHanded. . 110
So basically Minshaws are just collie/greys with a small ammount of bedlington? An you use the Name MINSHAW because Blue was your first stud dog? Haha,to be honest Tony i'd give up matey,Blue wasn't the 1st stud dog in the "type" at all,Nipper,Rip and Rag Lad came before him and to be perfectly honest they were around before you were born...they are lurchers mate, nothing less and nothing more, just like some carry the name Nuttall's,Hancock's,Plummer's and whatever else it is thats kicking around and some carry the Minshaw tag..it's no big deal at the end of the day is it? Enjoy what jukels you have and like i've said before the dog only has one person to please and thats the person who feeds, walks and looks after it.....in reply to Dodger,i know exactly what you mean mate,i've seen Topper at work and he's a natural in all departments,he just seems to know what YOU want him to do,he will take some replacing but you can live in hope lol...he's sired a litter before has he not? If so how comes you ain't got one or were circumstances unsuitable at that time? ATB Andy. Nevermind hey Andy!. What i will say is the dogs your running today will have more greyhound blood an collie blood than anything else. But yet they remain with the name Minshaw. One thing i will agree 100% with what you say is your dogs only have to please you an know one else an ive never said otherwise. They way i see it is if you was to go to hancock or any other collie grey breeder an buy two pups get them in top condition an go lamping in the decent spots, when you run dogs Paired up on rabbits the bags do get bigger. Me personally wouldnt run lurchers paired up on rabbits an if i had to run my dogs paired to get the best out of my dogs then they would be gone. . Enjoy your collie greys mate, i mean minshaws. An you keep gettin yourself out there. . ATB Tony. . I ain't arguing with you Tony..i'm old enough to be your dad just about haha..i've nothing to prove to anyone mate especially you..enjoy your mutts,i'll just keep on doing what i've done for nigh on 35 year...were you born then lol? Over & Out ATB Andy oh and by the way my dog really does walk on water Walks on water, catchs rabbits an rounds sheep up. Am lookin forward to seeing You on britains got talent, Andy an the dancing Minshaw. . An am not arguing pal just interested in the dogs you know that. . ATB Tony. . Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,208
Some good posts lads. My dog with a bit minshaw in his make up Smart animal mate.. BUT i gather if it's a modern day Minshaw it'll be Greyhound saturated with a bit of Collie in it and a splash of Bedlington eh? Basically won't be worth a toss according to some? haha ..if it's taken to the Grey it'll not have enough wind to blow a candle out lol..ATB Andy. 2 Quote Link to post
hern 50
Well Andy if the rumors are correct his grandsire Moscow and his sire Jack will of put a good dose of that greyhound blood in there Edited June 23, 2011 by hern 3 Quote Link to post

FUJI 17,208
Yes matey, although i owned their sire and was present at the mating somehow this greyhound malarkey has got stirred into the breeding of them lol..the "ORIGINAL" Minshaw's to some? Blue,Rambo,Traveller,Oboe were the dogs that carried more Grey blood than any!!! Rambo,Traveller and Oboe were out of a 1/2 Grey bitch called Grip and Blue's dam called Darkie was also Greyhound orientated...so them dogs were nigh on 1/2 Grey's lol..most today are bred lurcher x lurcher from these very lines so there's always gonna be a "variety" of different looking dogs amongst them? Try telling that to some is like talking to a brick wall though haha.ATB Andy. Edited June 21, 2011 by poacherspocket22 1 Quote Link to post

SHanded. . 110
Nice dogs them Hern.. So are they minshaw dogs aswell? Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,208
Nice dogs them Hern.. So are they minshaw dogs aswell? Well,i'll answer it partly for you Tony..Cora has Minshaw's Blue in it twice, once through Blue being it's sire and once via her dam Kes being a daughter of Bulpa,Bulpa the once via Blue his sire,so Jack and Moscow being sons of those two and meaning that they have Blue in their blood 3 times each and as both brothers are in the dogs makeup the school which i went to although not a private one means that the dog Hern has put a pic up of has Minshaw's Blue's blood running through it 6 times does it not? So i'd kind of say he'll probably say a wee bit at the least? ATB Andy. Quote Link to post
