FREE RUNNING AND MOOCHING.

LET THEM/SPRINT/CHARGE/BRAKE IN REALTIME.

POUNDING THE ROAD ONLY BUILDS STIFFNESS/MUSLE /THICKNSS.

PIT TRAINING IS FOR PITS.

Likes been make sure he's empty first with a 1/2 hour free run better still an hour,

Then start slow and build up,But keep your eye on him tho, But in my imho it will get him fitter, But the sharpness wont be there because like you say you dont get out that often cause of work, Only way he's going to get sharp is running rabbits,

But yip it will build a good baseline fittness, Iv tryed mine on them and i didnt get on with them really much simpler for me just to jump on the bike with my 3 and do quick hour its surpriseing how far you can bike in an hour, Plus added things like free running, sprints, changeing direction ect still bush rabbits with them and a few runs ect ect the bike just work better for me,

road work is the best for any lucher and free running all running dogs should have plenty off road work.

If you've got time to stick your dog on a treadmill for a hour why haven't you got time to exercise it for an hour.........theres no substitute imo for free running.

fair enough using a treadmill to bring a dog back from injury, but imho its a lazy mans tool to keep a dog fit. get him following you of the bike if just walking it doesnt work.keep you fit at the same time. if your expecting a dog to perform for you out when lamping you should be prepared to do more than sit and watch it run on a treadmill.

My honest view is the only way to get a running dog fit is by simply running them, find loads of road work and such just adds muscle definition, for me plenty of free running till season starts then just lamp them hard there fitness soon comes After a few weekss
