johnny boy68 11,726
What was the story mate? PM if you like? Alright mate basically on Monday afternoon I was walking her around the back of mine and got off her lead and chased something round the corner I got round the corner and she was over the bridge by then which is unlike her, a group of dodgy smackhead look alike had hold of her and looked as tho was trying to put her in the car. Saying they were just gonna pop her up to me. I got hold of her and brought her back but noticed they were following me up so to speak. Thought nothing of it and went inside. About 3 hours later I cleaned my kitchen floor and she kept walking all over it as dogs do lol so thought just while it dries i'l stick her in my back garden in the section which is partitioned off, it's got to be 6 foot high all round so very difficult for her to get out, I stuck a chicken carcus out with her to keep her occupied, went out side 3 minutes later and she was gone and my back gate was opened ( this is always closed and nearly always locked but this time I didn't padlock it) instantly looked for her with no sign , spent 2 hours looking for her with no joy. Rang all the authorities and kennels no joy either, then next day again searched with no joy but ran into a group of lads saying your lurcher has gone missing hasn't it, by this time I was fuming and snapped and said yeah and who evers got her is having a broken jaw if they robbed her. Went home and two hrs later a dodgy bloke came to my door who said he saw her but his story didn't fit what had happened. He said it's going round llan that your on like a Rambo vendetor lol just said to him who Evers took her ain't seen the end of it and was going to be meeting bess ( my metal leaver bar ) and won't be a good out come. Loads people came to my door with various leads but none was genuine, sounded more of a wild goose chase as some of this group had followed me, woke up this morning to a lady knocking my door saying she was tied up at the end of my road. Goes to show just how low people can be and now she will never be left unattended not even in my garden. Shows how pathetic this world has got when you nothing is safe. People warned me dog theft was high in the valleys of Wales so my dogs live in doors with me but this behind the joke the only 3 minutes she's outside and she's gone Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Glad she is back mate. Dog theft is high everywhere, it's just there are a lot of running dogs about the valleys. Just a point on the rest. Those lads who came up and said your dog had gone missing, well, it's llan, within an hour or less everyone would have known, it dont mean that they are involved, but the world was put about all the dog lads in the village to keep and eye out. As for folk looking dodgy, well it's the valleys, to an outsider most folk probably look dodgy. You sure she couldnt have got out through the door by herself and gone for a wander? Apparently she was having a wander about town last night / this morn? Anyway, best result possible is that you got her back Quote Link to post

Anyway, best result possible is that you got her back Mate if that was last night this morn no one told me as she was missing at that point, obviously I can't say 100% she was stolen hence in the add I said suspected. Yeah she did have a wonder Monday but got her back within minutes and that was from chasing something down the road and round the corner not escaping from my garden But where she was put my other dog carnet even jump out and her jumping abilities are far superior to the bitch that went missing, still doesn't explain why both my bolted gates were left open. As we always keep them shut. I'l never know, just gotta learn from it and move on. Main thing is she back and that's all that counts 1 Quote Link to post
